Managers outside finance still need to understand how their organization records and reports its numbers. This 60-minute accounting for non-accountants webinar builds that basic understanding of the accounting and reporting structure.

You'll cover the main concepts of financial accounting and its conceptual framework, then work through the financial statements: the balance sheet, the income statement, cash flows and the statement of changes in financial position, along with notes and supplementary schedules. The session also explains suspense accounts, extraordinary items and taxation so these terms make sense when you see them in reports.

  • Explain the main concepts and framework of financial accounting
  • Read a balance sheet and an income statement
  • Describe cash flows and the statement of changes in financial position
  • Use notes and supplementary schedules to interpret statements
  • Recognize suspense accounts, extraordinary items and tax entries
